Courtney founded Outrun Gravity in 2019 and is a certified personal trainer, life coach, group fitness instructor, and philanthropist with over 17 years of experience in the industry. His passion for seeking meaningful experiences was sparked by a cruise vacation trip where he found himself surrounded by unhealthy options and limited social connections that left him feeling unclear, lethargic, and guilty. These feelings created a desire to promote health, wellness, and community, which are the core values of this retreat.
Joseph “Joe” Lussier is a seasoned golfer with over 20 years of experience. The Virginian-born local has 4-years under his belt as a PGA Professional Instructor, and his hard work has brought great service to 1757 golf clubs for 13 years. His motivation to mentor students in the game he loves has guided many Junior Golf Students to achieve Collegiate Golf Scholarships. Not only is he an accomplished instructor, but an accomplished player as well. He’s competed in the 2019 PGA Professional Championship and placed top 10 in the 2021 VA State Open. As his passion for golf grows each year, his motivation to guide his students grows even more. With his “go-getter” attitude and positive mindset, he welcomes any student who would love to learn the game and the journey it takes.

This is my first post in over two years but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to talk about a recent wellness retreat that we participated in Costa Rica. Outrun Gravity hosted a five-day retreat at Los Altos De Eros and it was simply amazing!! Every last detail was carefully planned to crate the best experience you can imagine. It's rare that we get time to focus on ourselves but this retreat was exactly that! Also, we were able to create some amazing new friendships. I highly encourage you to check out Outrun Gravity for any future retreats.

The suite includes a king bed, a sitting area complete with a comfortable sofa (which can also become a queen bed), flat-screen TV, a roman bathtub, and much more.
With a large private covered terrace, the Detached Suite is located away from the pool area to the side of the main house. Relax in teak lounge chairs and listen to the sounds of nature while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The room includes a king-size bed and a flat-screen TV.
Located steps from the luxurious infinity pool are two spacious king rooms (king beds can be separated). As you step into these rooms, you are transported into paradise with our tropical décor, indoor/outdoor showers, lounge chairs and a private terrace. The Poolside King rooms offer a slightly larger living space than the queen rooms, making it an ideal choice for guests who enjoy relaxing in their own privacy.
Only moments away from the luxurious infinity pool are two queen rooms. With tropical décor, secluded indoor/outdoor shower, the queen room offers everything you need for a relaxing vacation.
All Canadian, US, and EU citizens who travel to Costa Rica for tourism need a valid passport. Please check your passport to ensure you have at least 6 months of validity from the time you enter Costa Rica. If it is not, you should get your passport renewed before you arrive. A visa is not required.
Please arrive at Liberia-Guanacaste (LIR), Costa Rica.
Transportation from the airport is included in your stay. The hotel is about an hour from the airport.
If you are entering Costa Rica from South America, you must show proof of having a yellow fever vaccination. Otherwise, visiting Costa Rica does not need vaccinations or shots.
Spanish is the official language of Costa Rica, although English is widely understood.
Because Costa Rica is blessed with fantastic weather year-round, there isn't a "best" time to visit. We enjoy a stable climate of 75-85 degrees year-round.
Colones are the official currency of Costa Rica, although U.S. dollars are widely accepted. The local currency you need depends on how much you intend to spend on extra purchases outside the property.
For Americans, it is unnecessary to convert any money to colones as all businesses happily accept U.S. dollars (however, expect your change to be in colones). In fact, we suggest you do NOT change any money and bring several smaller bills, so you do not receive any change. The current exchange rate fluctuates around 500 colones for every 1 U.S. dollar.
Each golf course has rental clubs available so traveling with golf clubs is to each person preference. At Conchal rental clubs are $60, at Pinilla rental clubs are $40.
